WriCampia Sweatshirt 2026

This year, when campers first reached into their drawstring bags, they pulled out  neon-orange colored hoodies. Some shook their heads in disapproval and carelessly threw their sweatshirts on the table, while others smiled and pulled them right on top of their clothes.

Every year, a group of directors debate about what color to choose that year. They look at a variety of different colors, then confirm that their top choices also come in youth sizes.

There are plenty of critics of the sweatshirts, both campers and counselors.

Many campers believed they had better ideas.

Julia R., a 17-year-old Senior Camper who has attended WriCampia for 12 years, said, “I would like either pastel or really dark colors. Probably colors like light blue, pink, or a dark green. That would be nice. I also liked it when it was a zip-up. They were easier.”

Meanwhile, a few people disagree and do enjoy the color of the sweaters this year. 17-year-old Senior Camper Max L., who has attended WriCampia for seven years, said, “Actually, I kind of like the color this year, but two years ago we had navy blue, which was the best WriCampia sweater we had.”

10-year-old Lower Camper Maya K. also said resolutely, “Yes, I really do like the color of the sweater this year…  orange is my favorite color, and it’s a very vibrant, energetic orange.”
