At WriCampia, we have 30 different electives to choose from each day! Some examples are Horseback Riding, The Fitness Center, Film, Improv, Water Colors, and Zipline. In my survey, I compared what campers’ preferred last year to this year. Of the 49 campers who responded, the 2025 elective with the most votes was Art Center with RPG (Role-Playing-Games) coming close behind; in 2026, Art Center electives led again but this time, with Baking and Filmmaking tying for second. What makes an elective appealing? Two people I interviewed this year said they chose their favorite elective “because it is chill.” Art Center has been the most popular this year and last year.
